Back Romania

Daniela was the oldest of twelve children who led her family to the United States in 1990 after the Romanian Revolution in December 1989. She had miraculously attained visas for her family during the communistic rule simply because God had a plan for her life.
A year after she arrived in the United States Daniela went to Christ For The Nations Institute and graduated in 1993.
She attained her United States citizenship in 1997.
In 1997 Daniela purchased Bethany House back in her native land of Romania which became a home of refuge for children who had been abandoned, were living on the streets or were nearly sold into human trafficking. That same year Dan came to Romania for the first time on a short-term mission trip with his church. After he returned to the States, Dan started writing and e-mailing Daniela. Their relationship blossomed.
Dan returned to Romania for a week in May of 1998 and a few months later Daniela came out to the States for a visit and each were able to meet each others parents. Dan proposed to Daniela 1998 and the couple was married on March 14, 1999, in Knoxville, Tennessee. They moved to Romania in May 1999.
Since then Bethany House farm grew from their vision to rescue and mentor children, especially girls, who might quickly be sold into human trafficking. They continue to see new life and spiritual growth among the girls at Bethany House. They now have two young children of their own.
