Indigenous
Missionaries
Home India
Indigenous missionaries do all the things that Western missionaries used to do in their respective countries. They preach the Gospel of Christ, win souls, plant churches and train disciples. Native missionaries are much more effective than those of foreign countries because they already know the language and understand the customs of their people.
Today, more than 90% of pioneer missionary work among unreached peoples in unevangelized countries is carried on by indigenous missionaries. Yet they receive less than 10% of all the support given for missionaries by God’s people throughout the world. GeoBound seeks to give U.S. Christians the opportunity to support indigenous missionaries.
