Influencing Native Americans With the Gospel
Originating from a season of prayer and fasting for America, the Native American Initiative was conceived as a spiritual avenue specifically for Native Americans to engage in Biblical Awakening and leadership training, enabling them to join in the crucial role of evangelism. The NAI actively promotes a spiritual harvest among America’s tribal nations and communities with its primary objective of establishing Fellow Laborers In The Gospel (FLITG).
In pursuit of the Biblical training offered for this initiative, Geobound entered into a partnership agreement with Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. Through The Bible Training Series, Geobound intends not only to provide discipleship training, but to develop leadership courses training Fellow Laborers In The Gospel expressly for the NAI.
In 2017, Geobound ministry strategically relocated to the Cherokee Nation in Northeastern Oklahoma, the largest numerically and federally recognized tribe in the US. The purpose for this move was to demonstrate a commitment to minister to the residents of this tribal nation in various capacities:
Engage in the work of the harvest through discipleship, Bible training, and leadership training
Earnestly praying for the Native American people
Actively seeking to understand the Cherokee’s unique culture and language by promoting the renewal of the Bible in Cherokee
A collaboration of ministries, homes and Fellow Laborers In The Gospel (FLITG) is greatly encouraged to participate in the NAI among the 574 distinct Native American nations. It is crucial to note that the NAI is not an organization itself; rather, it is a cooperative of like-minded fellow workers, homes, and ministries. These individuals and entities are led by the Holy Spirit to act in the harvest for and with the Native American peoples.
